During the Fall of the Empire, after Earth fell, the remaining vessels of the fleet massed at the Imperial Armoury World of Galondin for one last stand, there they were to be joined by some of the newest, most state of the art vessels the Empire had ever produced to take the fight back to the Alliance...
They never arrived, and the Terran Fleet was massacred. Following that point rumours of what happened to those vessels have been the topic of discussion; reports of the ships appearing throughout Alliance Space have turned them into a modern day Marie Celeste, sought by Terran Free Slaves and Treasure hunters alike.
The Alliance, spurned by their failure at acquiring the Federation Database have withdrawn from the sector. The Vanguard now has the task of deploying resistance cells on newly opened up prospects. Until long range sensors pick up the presence of something new, and will change the face of the Resistance Forever.
