Dispatch No. 001 — Welcome

Australia's Military History, told through their stories

Australian Military History is more than just the recitation of dates or tracing lengths of thread across dust-covered maps in old war rooms — it's also about the stories of service and sacrifice of the millions of Australians who have donned the uniform of their country of birth, or choice, for over two centuries, and the enduring legacy they have created.

On this site, you will discover access to all our social media channels, where you can connect with us, as well as access to show notes and journeys exploring the numerous memorials, each with its unique story.

This website serves as the central hub for all our online activities and endeavours, so we sincerely hope you find something here that captures your interest and enriches your understanding of Australia's military history and the extraordinary individuals who have shaped it.
