Pulling up a chair for Mental Health: Big Blue Table 2025
Announcement Australian Capital Territory
In October DocNetwork Productions, through I Was Only Doing My Job: An Australian Military History Podcast participated in Beyond Blue's Big Blue Table, a national initiative to raise funds for mental health crisis support, while also attempting to destigmatise conversations about mental health.
The Big Blue Table is all about connections, a reminder of how vital communication is, especially about subjects that are considered socially sensitive. This is important considering that 45% of Australians will experience a mental health condition in their lifetime, and most will not seek any form of assistance until they are already in crisis, if they ever do. This is the core principle of the Big Blue Table, to get people talking, to create safe, open spaces to allow people to know that it is okay to not be okay and that it is okay to seek help.
As a podcast, this kind of dialogue is the heart of what we do here. We were able to raise $783.00 over the course of Mental Health Month, so a huge thank you to .
By participating in the Big Blue Table, I Was Only Doing My Job: An Australian Military History Podcast continues our commitment to promoting positive mental health dialogue both on and off air.
