On the Barton Highway between Canberra and Yass is Murreumbatemen. In Jones Park not far from the Barton Highway Rest Area is the Murrembatemen War Memorial. Dedicated in 2008, it honours those who served during the First and Second World Wars from the region.
It was a dignified monument that I nearly missed on my trip to Cowra
